Exclusion of Food Category “13” (Foodstuffs intended for particular nutritional uses) from the scope of Proprietary Foods
As per the letter dated 6th Nov 2020 FSSAI has removed food category “13 – Foodstuffs Intended for Particular Nutritional Use” from the Proprietary Food KoB. Food products manufactured under this category will either have to comply fully with the standards given in the regulation or have to seek approval under FSS (Approval for Non-Specified Food and Food Ingredients) Regulations, 2017.
FBOs who already have licenses granted earlier under Proprietary Foods with FC 13 are required to modify their licenses (without any fee till 30th June 2021)
