Through the letter dated 15th December 2020, FSSAI has announced a new functionality in the FoSCoS, through which the FBOs can now file an online request against rejection and reinstatement for application of licenses or registrations.
This functionality has the facility only to reactivate the rejected applications and not a process of appeal. Depending on the type of license, the application will be routed to the concerned authority. Acceptance of the request by the concerned authority will reactivate the application. Due to the ongoing COVID 19 situation, a window of 6 months is given for making an online request on rejected applications by an FBO. this time period shall be progressively reduced in future to a 15 days window.
