The inaugural program of the Safety With Divinity is scheduled for the 23rd of January, 2021 at the RR Nagar temple at 9:30AM. This will be inaugurated by Sri Sri Sri Jayendra Puri Mahaswamiji in the presence of Mr. Dhanya Kumar, from FSSAI, Bangalore South and our Managing Director, Ms. Sarika Agarwal We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to join us for the inaugural session and help us spread the word about the importance of Food Safety to the community.
We have started the “Safety with Divinity” initiative to increase the awareness about food safety among the food handlers who prepare the prasadam at the premises. This program is aligned with the FSSAI’s BHOG program to introduce food safety and hygiene at the Place of Worship (PoW). As part of the program, we will train 20 food handlers on the basic food safety and hygiene required while preparing their offering to god. Each person will get a certificate from FSSAI. We will also provide a hygiene kit to each of the participants of the program. The kit consists of an apron, a cap, mask, gloves and sanitizer. We had also conducted a Food Safety Conversation on the topic of “Food Safety at Places of Worship” which was attended by Mr. P. Muthumaran- Regional director of FSSAI- Chennai, Pradeepta Narasimha Dasa- Senior Manager for food-ISKCON and Dr Shashikanth Kunigal- Principal Consultant, Food Safety Works.
