FSSAI : Clarification Regarding Issuing Licenses for Products under “Non-carbonated Water Based Beverages (Non-Alcoholic)”
Through a letter dated 26th October 2021, FSSAI has provided clarification regarding the issue of License for products under category “Non-carbonated Water Based Beverages (Non-Alcoholic)”
FBOs are advised to review their product formulations and categorize them suitable as per the applicable Food Product Standards i.e. Packaged Drinking Water, Mineral Water or Non-Carbonated Water Based Beverages (Non-Alcoholic), while complying with all regulatory requirements including obtaining the BIS certification for Packaged Drinking Water and Mineral Water.
FBOs are asked to comply with the amended provisions of the FSS (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Regulations, 2011 by 1st February,2022.
