On 2nd May 2022, the Regulatory Compliance Division of FSSAI issued an order regarding the inspection/ auditing of FBOs. As per the order, an inspection plan has been framed to enable the authorities to carry out mandatory inspections of the premises of the FBOs ensuring the safety of high-risk food categories. All Central Licenses Manufacturer/Processor under High-Risk Food Category shall get its business audited by FSSAI recognized food safety auditing agency every year.
