On 14th June 2022, FSSAI issued an order regarding compliance concerning provisions for “Display of Information in Food Service Establishments” as per FSS (Labelling and Display) Regulations, 2020, which will be effective from 1st July 2022. As per the regulations, Food Service Establishments having Central licenses or outlets at 10 or more locations shall mention the calorific value (in kcal per serving and serving size) and other relevant information, against the food items displayed on the menu cards or boards or booklets. The E-commerce FBOs are directed to enable provisions in their online platforms for the display of nutritional information and other specific requirements.
