On 17th June 2022, FSSAI issued an order regarding the import of clove stem. It is decided that till the standards for Clove Stem are notified, it may be considered for testing against safety parameters according to horizontal standards like FSS (Contaminants, Toxins & Residues) Regulations, 2011 and volatile oil content on a dry basis (i.e. Not less than 8.5 % v/w).
