FSSAI direction: Timeline extended for implementation of amended regulation regarding Packaged Drinking Water (other than Mineral Water)
On 21st June 2022, FSSAI issued a direction regarding the extension of the date for implementation of amended regulations regarding Packaged Drinking Water (other than Mineral Water). The values of Total Dissolved Solids, Calcium and Magnesium have been amended in the Draft Food Safety and Standards (Food Product Standards and Food Additives) Amendment Regulation and it has been decided that the implementation date will be from 1st January 2023 and no further extension beyond this date shall be provided.
