On 27th July 2022, FSSAI published updated FAQs on Licensing and Registration. The update is regarding the KoB for Direct Sellers. It states that the Direct Sellers selling food items to end consumers are classified as retailers and hence shall apply as ‘Retailer’ under the ‘Trade/Retail’ section of FoSCoS for obtaining FSSAI License or Registration as per the eligibility criteria.
