On 16th August 2022, FSSAI issued a clarification regarding the sampling and analysis of imported food articles with microbial testing requirements. It stated that only two parts of the food sample are required to be drawn during sampling by Authorized Officer/ Representative as per the FSS (Import) Regulations, 2017 and also the analysis of the sample shall be carried out only as per these regulations.
