On 18th August 2022, FSSAI issued a clarification regarding the requirement of AGMARK certification in case of imported food products. In consideration of representations received from various stakeholders, FSSAI decided to keep in abeyance the requirement of AGMARK certification for Imported Food consignments and also the advisory regarding the requirement of AGMARK certification prior to Import of Blended Edible Vegetable Oil (BEVO) stands withdrawn.
