FSSAI Registration for Foreign Food Manufacturing Facilities is mandatory
On 10th October 2022, FSSAI issued an order regarding the mandatory requirement of registration of foreign food manufacturing facilities as per FSS (Import) First Amendment regulations, 2022. As per this order, the foreign food manufacturing facilities of these categories: Milk & Milk Products, Meat & Meat products including Poultry, Fish, and their products, Egg powder, Instant food & Nutraceuticals, who are exporting to India, are requested to register themselves under FSSAI. The format for registration is provided, wherein the details of the Competent Authority of the exporting country, License number, and product details with HS Code are required. This order will be effective from 1st February 2023.
