On 1st November 2022, FSSAI issued a notification regarding the fee refund policy for the applications under FSS (Approval for Non-Specified Food and Food Ingredients) Regulations, 2017. It has been decided that the fee paid for applications under the NSF regulations, shall not be refunded to applicants in any case, as it takes a lot of time and effort by the officers, to perform initial scrutiny of the applications.
