FSSAI: Deployment of Food Safety on Wheels to check adulteration in Milk
On 3rd March 2023, FSSAI issued a letter regarding the deployment of Food Safety on Wheels for checking the adulteration in milk. It has been informed that 168 Food Safety on Wheels (FSW) Mobile food testing labs are available with the states /UTs for carrying out on the spot food testing for various food products including milk and milk products which can be carried out through “ Milk-o-Screen ” system installed in FSWs. The parameters like fat, SNF, protein, adulterants: Water, Urea, Sucrose, maltodextrin, Ammonium sulphate will be tested for Milk.
