FSSAI : Clarification Regarding Addition of Vitamins and Minerals to Standardized Products

On 22nd October, FSSAI issued a direction regarding the addition of Vitamins and Minerals in standardized products. The regulator has clarified that Vitamins and Minerals can be added in quantities not exceeding one Recommended Dietary Allowance and mere addition of vitamins and minerals to a standardized product will not qualify the product as a proprietary food.
