On 3rd Nov. 2022 FSSAI released draft regulations to amend FSS (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Regulations, 2011. Certain standards for products like palm oil, palmolein, palm kernel oil, palm superolein have been revised in this draft. Specifications for product like meat sausages, dehydrated tarragon and its powder, Indian mithais and namkeens, food color preparations and mixtures have also been added.
The interested parties can submit their objections or suggestions, if any, to the CEO of the FSSAI within 60 days from uploading of draft notification.
