It’s two in a row. Our founder Sarika Agarwal received the Startup Entrepreneur of the Year 2019 award hosted by eMERG India. She received the award from Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka Dr. Ashwath Narayan. eMERG, the Engineering Manufacturer Entrepreneurs Resource Group, is the brainchild of a group of enterprising business women. Over the years, eMERG has grown exponentially, and now is an association for women in technology, business, profession & services. As a Not for Profit organization, eMERG works to provide women a platform to showcase and develop their business and talents. The award is an annual recognition given out to women entrepreneurs across the country who have lead their way.
The HerRising Awards is an effort to recognize not just the women who are returning to the workplace, but every woman, regardless of her years in the workforce, for rising at her organization, as a result of her commitment and drive.The Awards are part of HerRising, which is one of India’s largest career fairs for women, in Bangalore
Our founder Sarika Agarwal was nominated in the Women Entreprenuer Category along with 28 other entrepreneurs, who fought all odds to rise above the rest and start their own enterprise. They chose the path less traveled and took the risk to make it happen. And we feel proud to share that she was one of the three who won the award in this category. She received the award on 7th September at the function organized at Radisson Blue, Bangalore.
This is a recognition of how work, when driven by passion always leads to success. Sarika has been at it for over 10 years and Food Safety Works is now a 23 members team of Food Technologists, Microbiologists and Nutritionists that work with food processing units, catering units, cafeterias, schools and other food suppliers. Her passion for safetyfying food industry with the norms of national and international standards like ISO and FSSAI has lead her to becoming a leading industry expert on the subject. Through her work, she has enabled multiple companies achieve standards like ISO22000.
She firmly believes in “Work wholeheartedly and let it speak for you. Let your work be worthy of recognition”. This is something that the team has imbibed from from her.
