On 26th September 2022, FSSAI issued a clarification regarding the requirement of a Health Certificate to be accompanied by the imported food consignments. It is seen that a Sanitary/ Veterinary certificate is already issued for the products Milk & Milk products, Pork & Pork products, and Fish & Fish products by Exporting country. FSSAI clarified that an integrated single certificate incorporating food safety-related requirements including all information as per the given format, will also be accepted by FSSAI at the time of import clearance.
