FSSAI Gazette Notification: Regarding claims for Edible Vegetable Oils
On 30th August 2022, FSSAI published a gazette notification on Food Safety and Standards (Advertising and Claims) First Amendment Regulations, 2022 and this will come into effect from 1st March 2023. The amendments have been made in “Schedule IIA- List of Claims for Edible Vegetable Oils”. The claims regarding Chia oil, Avocado oil, Sunflower seed oil – High Oleic acid and Safflower Oil – high Oleic acid have been newly added to the regulations.
