On 16th August 2022, issued a press release regarding the surveillance drive of nation-wide campaign against adulteration in edible oils (single oil as a constituent), trans-fatty acids and sale of Multi Source Edible Oils without proper labelling, which was carried out between 01.08.2022 to 14.08.2022 across the country. A total of 4845 surveillance samples were collected and more than 27,500 liters of loose edible oil has been seized across the country on the spot. The samples have been sent to accredited food testing laboratories for analysis.
