E-commerce in the next big channel for the food business operators. With the pandemic, it has also evolved as a channel of choice for the consumers. As per economic times, the Indian online grocery market is expected to clock $3billion in 2020. For the new enterprises with niche products it an easy way to test their products without investing in huge supply chain. The channel also provides instant feedback to the sellers.

However, for the consumer and the platforms providers it is a new challenge ensuring that the products comply with the regulations which are being constantly updated by FSSAI to keep up with the pace of changes. Amun Thapa, CEO, Sastodeal.com one of the leading ecommerce companies in Nepal with millions of customers and thousands of vendors / partners all over Nepal. They recently entered into a strategic partnership with Flipkart to help lakhs of Flipkart sellers get access to the neighboring country’s e-commerce market.
