On 27th Jan 2022, FSSAI released an advisory regarding SOP that provides regulatory provisions on UCO. This SOP enables regulatory authorities to take legal action against non-compliant FBOs/ Aggregators or Collection agencies/ NFP units that are involved in the collection/ sale/ use of UCO for adulteration.
