Safety with Divinity
“Safety with Divinity” is our attempt to introduce food safety and hygiene at the Place of Worship (PoW). Through this program we want to train the food handlers at place of worship on the basic food safety and hygiene required while preparing their offering to god. All the trained members will also get an FSSAI of training through the FoSTac and a certificate from FoSTac indicating the same.
The participants will also get a starter kit which contains caps, aprons and masks. The premises also receive posters on food safety and hygiene that that can be put up at the premises to reinforce the hygiene practices. They also receive a set of color coded cutting boards and knives. After the training, if the PoW so desires, we can take them through the assessment as per the BHOG program of FSSAI.
This is a crowd sourced program and if you would like to get this conducted at a PoW in your community, you can reach out to us at divinity@foodsafetyworks.in.

After talking with some of the PoW, we find that most of them have no more than 10 food handlers. So the program is designed for a team of 10.

The community associated with the PoWs will be expected to take this forward. We will support the team to help them get the necessary registration as well as provide all the technical know how including the post assessment and recommending it to the commissioner for certification.

The community can help by having someone volunteers for guiding the PoW through the process. Along with the food handlers, we will also be training the local community members who can then help the PoW achieve the certification.
