This World Food Safety Day on 7 June 2023 will draw attention to food standards. Foodborne diseases affect 1 in 10 people worldwide each year, and food standards help us to ensure what we eat is safe. Food security, nutrition, and safety are all intertwined. Unsafe food contributes to a vicious cycle of sickness and hunger that disproportionately affects young children, the elderly, the sick, and babies. The safety of food is impacted by factors such as the globalisation of food commerce, an expanding global population, climate change, and quickly evolving food systems. No matter who you are or what you do, you play an important role in making sure food is safe to eat. Join us in various activities we have lined up to mark the day from the 5th of June till the 9th of June 2023. Do register and participate in the events. Also, help us spread the word.

Detect Adulteration with Rapid Test (DART) booklet is a compilation of common quick tests for the detection of food adulterants in the household by the citizens themselves so as to induce awareness among the consumers about food safety.
